Strategic Planning Process Update
ECCAFV is shaping its future, together. Over the past several months, the Executive Committee and our consulting team have been working diligently to craft a five-year strategic plan that will strengthen our impact, elevate our voice, and deepen our connections across the community.
The plan is shaped by all of you. A heartfelt thank you for participating in our Membership and Community Surveys. Service providers, advocates, community leaders, and survivors responded with clarity and consistency about where the coalition can make a meaningful difference, even in the face of limited resources and a shifting political climate.
Join Us
The full plan will be shared at our membership meeting on Friday, October 10 at 9 AM. Attend in person (330 Delaware Avenue – Child & Family Services) or virtually. A few of the plan highlights are below.
Strategic Framework for Action
Our plan is organized into four key areas:
- Core Identity and Alignment – Strengthening ECCAFV’s mission, visibility, and voice.
- Member Engagement and Value – Deepening relationships, partnerships, and shared tools across our membership.
- Capacity and Internal Systems – Building the internal structure and resources needed for sustained implementation.
- Advocacy and Other Initiatives – Positioning ECCAFV as a trusted, values-driven voice in system improvement.
How We Are Getting Started:
- Refining our mission and vision through member feedback and community review to ensure our identity reflects our values, purpose, and long-term direction. (Core Identity & Alignment)
- Building stronger connections with law enforcement and other allies, improved tools and communications, and strategies to diversify membership. (Member Engagement & Value)
- Setting clearer roles and hiring a coordinator, stronger internal systems with improved member-tracking tools, and more engaged committees aligned with strategic priorities. (Capacity & Systems)
- A stronger collective voice through shared standards, expanded training to build skills, and deeper connections with underserved communities. (Advocacy & Other Initiatives)
We hope to see you on Friday, October 10, either virtually or in person, to share additional details.
With Gratitude
This effort was made possible through funding facilitated by Hon. Jeanne Vinal, Esq., Erie County Legislator, District 5.
